Dave is a lifelong Wood County resident and is a graduate of Eastwood Local Schools completing his undergraduate studies at Bowling Green State University. He began in the funeral service industry in 1972 driving ambulance for the then Holcomb Funeral Homes in Luckey where he would eventually return to serve his apprenticeship after graduating from Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science and ultimately purchase the business in 1983. As time progressed the Pemberville location was purchased in 1987 and the Woodville location in 2004. Dave is recognized by Who's Who in America and is a member of the National Funeral Director's, Ohio Funeral Director's, Ohio Embalmer's Associations, Masonic Lodge and other various business and professional organizations.

Dave enjoys being a part of the community and believes in giving back whether it be the purchase of a steer at one of our local fairs, emceeing or sponsoring an event or serving on the Wood County Sheriff's Auxiliary. In his spare time he enjoys buying, restoring and selling antique cars, driving sports cars and attending NACAR races. Dave and his wife Fran have one daughter, Ashley who is currently attending Ohio State University in the Optometry program.

Fran I. Marsh Funeral Director fran@marshfuneralhomes.com

A native of the Fremont area, Fran is a graduate of Fremont Ross High School and the Flower Hospital School of Nursing. After graduating from Nursing School she worked for over 20 years as a Registered Nurse at Flower Hospital. 

In subsequent years Fran served a 2 year funeral director apprenticeship and became a licensed Funeral Director in 1989 after the purchase of the Pemberville location. Together with her husband Dave they have jointly served the community with a zeal and passion in caring for others. This has been further reflected in the various social and business organizations that Fran has belonged to over the years. In her spare time she enjoys reading, cooking and baking.

Fran and Dave are proud parents to Ashley their adult daughter who is currently wrapping up her Doctorial Degree in Optometry at The Ohio State University.

Ernie Marsteller Funeral Director ernie@marshfuneralhomes.com

Ernie Marsteller is a graduate of the Cypress School of Mortuary Science and received his business degree from LourdesCollege, graduating Magna Cum Laude. A funeral director for the past twenty-five years; Ernie and his wife Robin reside in Perrysburg with their daughter Toni, a St. Mary’s College graduate and present student of law at the University of Toledo. Ernie and his family are members of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg, where he has served in numerous ministries including the Pastoral Council, Holy Name Society, Consolation Ministry Team and later completed The Diocesan Lay Ministry Program. In addition to other community service organizations, Ernie is a member of the Perrysburg Police Foundation and presently serves as an Auxiliary Deputy for the Wood County Sheriff’s Office.

Rhonda Rae (Delphous) Bliss Funeral Pre-Arrangement Advisor rhonda@marshfuneralhomes.com

Rhonda has been planning funerals in advance since 1995.  She graduated from Penta County Vocational School in Banking, Insurance & Travel.  Prior to working in the funeral industry, she has over 8 years of Banking and Finance experience.  Rhonda originally is from the Latcha area.  Her grandparents are familiar names in our community such as the Sundermeiers, the Bahnsens, the Phillips and Delphous Families.

 Rhonda has always been very community oriented since high school having volunteered for many organizations including; Otterbein Nursing Home, St. Charles Hospital, Penta County Schools, Office Education Association and numerous others. She also served as the first female lieutenant Governor for Division 1 – North Kiwanis Clubs.

 Rhonda assists with Monument sales and heads-up the Aftercare program at the funeral homes.  With her main focus in assisting families with Pre-planning Funerals; she carries an Insurance License with the State of Ohio and is a Notary Public. Most importantly, Rhonda is a proud mother raising two children of her own and has been providing foster care for many children since 1996.

Barbara Kovacs Funeral Director

Barbara selected Funeral Service as a second career after an extensive career as a Licensed Electrician. Today she remains a member in good standing with IBEW Local 8. In 2005 Barbara graduated from the Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. Barbara and her husband Dan are active members of St. Stephen Catholic Church in East Toledo. Barbara is a Certified Celebrant having received her certification through Doug Manning's InSight Institute. Her selfless service and compassion as well as her light heartedness make her a valuable and competent addition to the staff.
