Luckey Chapel
At the start of the century, Mr. William Schwan worked as a funeral director from 1900-1948, operating from a storefront building until the late 1930's, when the business was moved to its present West Main Street location. From 1948-1963, Mr. J.H. Landwehr continued the operation, providing services to the local community. In 1963, Mr. Earl Holcomb purchased the business and served the area as funeral director until 1983. In 1972, Mr. David Marsh, a native of the Luckey area, began working with Mr. Holcomb, and he purchased the business in 1983, maintaining the tradition of local ownership.
Pemberville Chapel
In 1884, the Neiman brothers began a funeral service and furniture store in a storefront building in downtown Pemberville. In the early 1900's, the funeral business was moved to a home on Front Street while the furniture store continued to operate until closing in 1986. During this time, the Beckman family joined the Neiman family in the funeral service business. David Marsh purchased the funeral business from Clarence Beckman in 1986 and opened a new funeral facility in May of 1997.
Woodville Chapel
The present funeral home in Woodville was established in 1932, when Dethleff Mollgaard purchased the Liza Schroeader residence at the corner of Main and Perry Streets. The home was extensively remodeled to accomodate funeral services. Until his death in 1941, Delhoff's Sons, Elmer and Alton, assisted Mr. Mollgaard with the family business. In 1948, Alton became the sole owner of the business. Paul Heineman joined the business in 1950 as a licensed funeral director and embalmer, and eventually purchased the business in 1968 when Alton retired. At the time of Paul Heineman's retirement in 1987, Robinson-Henn-Brossia Funeral Homes purchased the Heineman-Mollgaard Funeral Home. In 2004, Robinson-Henn-Brossia Funeral Home was purchased by David Marsh of Marsh Funeral Homes.
