Obituary for Vincent D. Harsanje Sr.

Vincent D. Harsanje Sr., 87, of Woodville, OH, passed away on Wed, May 13, 2020 at St. Charles Hospital in Oregon, OH. He was born on February 15, 1933 to Michael S. and Mary S. (Geller) Harsanje in Clay Center, OH. Vincent proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War. After returning from the war, he met and married Georgena Simpson in Genoa, OH on November 17, 1956. Vincent and Georgena raised 7 children and celebrated nearly 64 years of marriage together. He worked as a chemical operator with E.I. DuPont in Toledo. Vincent enjoyed: vegetable gardening, fishing, traveling, cooking, coin and stamp collecting. However, it was his family especially his children and grandchildren that brought him so much joy and comfort. They remember their dad as being very hardworking, a wonderful provider and teacher.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Michael, Richard, Emery, and Don Harsanje, and sister, Betty Thompson.
